The Pirates of Haven City

Basicaly, Jak and Daxter meets Pirates of the Caribbean theme. Cause I love both.

While I was in the inherited house (I've been there so often this summer it's laughable!!) I got this idea in my head:

Jak and Daxter makes some sort of bet while (most likely) influenced by alcohol *Daxter's smaller so naturally he'd get drunk easier..*. Not sure what the bet was - probably who was best in the whack-a-metalhead game at the HipHog bar. Either way, if Daxter won they would dress up as pirates and be mischiefous in the streets of Haven city. And since I know that Daxter uses a certain "weapon" when killing bugs, why not use it as a sword here?! ^.^ Of course, Jak is unamused by this whole idea.. And so are the KG forces, especially the one who got smacked on his hace by Daxter.

Clearly there's a Jack Sparrow quote in this picture... If you compare Jack Sparrow with someone from the JnD games, I think Daxter's personality is the most similliar to him. Sure, Jak is the most similliar when it comes to names.. But imo Daxter's got a little pirate in him, even if he's not the first to go head-on against any danger. I used some parts from Sparrow's outfit on Daxter, but I didn't want to turn Jak into Will or something.. If he had that outfit....................... Razor would certainly laugh at him. So this is more in the direction of Mr. Cotton.

The parts I'm most happy with the outcome must be the glow from Daxter's LETHAL WEAPON OF DOOOOOOOOM, how Jak's jacket flows in the wind and especially how the zoomer turned out. It was helpful looking at a drawing of a zoomer, but I was too lazy to look at Bob Rafei's sketches so I just learned from a fanart drawing by *enolianslave about rush hour trafic.. [link] (I lol'ed - a lot. ) Usually transport thingies are crap to me to draw but this turned out very OK! ^^ I don't know about you, but the song "We're not gonna take it" kinda fits here too. lol.

*OK, enough with the digital art already!!! I ought to do some traditional stuff now! PROPER traditional stuff, like painting something. *
